Islamabad, January 24, 2026 — The Pakistan–China Friendship Tenpin Bowling Championship alongside the 18th National Tenpin Bowling Championship officially commenced with a vibrant opening ceremony at the Leisure City Bowling Club, Safa Gold Mall, Islamabad. The Championship is organized to pay tribute to Pakistan China friendship

The event brought together athletes, sports officials, and distinguished guests, highlighting the growing prominence of tenpin bowling in Pakistan. Representatives from the Chinese Embassy and the Nigerian Embassy attended the ceremony, adding an international touch to the occasion.

Speaking at the opening ceremony, Chinese diplomat Cheng Peng described the championship as a strong symbol of the longstanding friendship and cooperation between Pakistan and China. He emphasized that sports continue to serve as a powerful bridge between nations, strengthening people-to-people connections beyond diplomacy and trade.

The President of the Pakistan Tenpin Bowling Federation, the organizer of the championships, also addressed the audience.
